Farewell 2019... Hello 2020!
My first year as a new horse owner…
was filled with personal growth and lots motivation to achieve new goals for 2020. I’ve loved every minute of it - the good and the bad. I owe a lot of my success to my husband. He has been there for me in every way. I’m proud of him and myself for stepping outside of our comfort zones this year. Personally, if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t have learned so much about myself. Owning a horse and learning how to build that relationship is hard work. I really have gained so much respect for those that have taken on horse ownership.
One of my favorite accomplishments this year…
was being able to give medicine to my horse. If you know my horse Mr. Fox, you know the struggle was real. Over the course of the year, we went from two hours of head-tossing and rearing to a calm five minute conversation on how to take his meds. This is when I realized we had built some trust and communication with one another. It was the greatest feeling ever!
But enough about me - I really want to say how much I appreciate all of my clients. Each and every one of you has had experiences this year that have changed your life. I’m so grateful to you for letting me capture just a moment of that. I’ve met amazing people, beautiful horses, and created new friendships. I also need to thank all the peeps at True North that have been there for me and Mr. Fox! We could not have survived without you!
