Matt & Nikki Kassa
July 15th 2017-
For Nikki and Matt this was no ordinary day. July 15th, 2017 will forever be a day for just the two of them.
As his bride put on her dress and final touches, Matt patiently waited for her. To keep tradition, they did not see each other at all prior to the ceremony. But to heighten the anticipation, they exchanged hand-written letters that expressed their true love for one another.
The ceremony was filled with tearful joy, serious moments, love and a lot of laughter. Family and friends gathered to congratulate them. Soon after the ceremony the bride and groom headed to Akins Riverside Park with their wedding party.
The hissing geese and sweltering heat didn't stop the bridal party one bit. As the ladies showed me their best Charlie's Angel poses, the guys pulled out their sunglasses and gave us a show.
Moving along the river's shore, we came upon a bridge, bathed in shadows from the surrounding trees. A perfect spot for Matt and Nikki to have some time alone.
The party then moved to the reception at Rockwoods. Salads were served, dinner was eaten and the cake was cut!
Matt and Nikki chose to save their vows for their toasts. Matt had his vows listed out on a large sheet of paper, and as everyone realized Nikki had hers written only on a small notecard, laughter filled the reception hall. Whether written on paper or a notecard, the messages on each were heartfelt and honest. Before the dance, more cherished stories were told by friends and family.
After their first dance as husband and wife, they continued swaying into the sunset.
Congratulations Matt & Nikki. You are one beautiful couple!
