Marissa, Chunk and Arabella

Filled with winding roads and tall trees, the drive to the stable was very peaceful. Horses stared from their paddocks as we parked our car. The barns had every characteristic of an old farmer's home, right down to the red paint worn to wooden bones.

Stepping into our snow pants, we were greeted with friendly meows from the barn cats and a big hello from Sarge, the farm's chocolate lab. We gathered in the warming house to meet Marissa and planned out the hours that lay ahead.

Chunk, Marissa's Appaloosa pony, eagerly waited for them to ride through the snow covered path. Passing the horse-filled stables, they paused to share the moment.

Walking through the arena doors, Chunk let loose and took to his trot. After a few rounds he was ready for their ride.

With the sun shining and the wind blowing, she set the saddle, tightened the cinch and watched the dust fly.

Before the sun went down, Chunk was joined by Arabella, an all white Arabian mare. Bella loved the attention and was giving out kisses. In front of the barn the trio exchanged laughs and snuggles.
